Who these terms are between

SteepPage is a reader for the sources you choose, operated by Kitfull — "we" and "us" below. "You" is whoever holds the account.

Using SteepPage, or creating an account for it, means you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the service.

Your account

You need an account to read anything here, and you confirm your email address before you can sign in.

What happens under your account is your responsibility, including keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it.

• One account is for one person. Don't share it.
• You must be at least 13, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms.
• Your username is assigned when you sign up and can't be changed, so that a handle someone knew you by is never inherited by a stranger.

The closed beta

SteepPage is in a closed beta. Signing up isn't the same as being let in: an account can exist and wait, and we let readers in as we widen the beta.

While the beta is on, the service may change, break, or go away at short notice, and data may be lost. Don't rely on SteepPage as the only copy of anything you care about.

Using the service

There are few rules here and they are the obvious ones. Don't:

• break the law with it, or use it to harm, harass, or impersonate anyone;
• try to reach accounts, data, or parts of the service that aren't yours;
• attack the service, or use it to send traffic at someone else's server that isn't wanted there;
• scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or what it contains;
• work around a limit, a gate, or a refusal we've put in place.

Feeds and other people's work

Nearly everything you read here belongs to the publisher who wrote it. We fetch the sources you subscribed to and show you what they contain; we don't own any of it, and these terms give you no rights to it beyond reading it.

If you publish a feed and would rather we left it alone, write to us and we'll stop fetching it.

Anything you write in SteepPage stays yours. You give us permission to store it and to show it to the people you chose to show it to, and to nobody wider than that.

Availability and changes

We'll try to keep SteepPage running, and to give notice before anything significant changes, but we don't promise any level of availability and we may add, change, or remove features.

Sources are other people's servers. A feed can go down, move, or stop publishing, and none of that is ours to control.

What it costs

SteepPage is free while it's in beta. If we introduce a paid plan we'll say so clearly and in advance, and taking one will be your choice.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like, and closing it deletes your data as described in the privacy policy.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we're required to close. Where we can, we'll tell you why.

What we don't promise

SteepPage is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we aren't responsible for what publishers put in their feeds.

Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of SteepPage.

Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and fifty Canadian dollars.

Some places don't allow limits like these, and there they apply only as far as the law permits.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes about them belong to the courts of Saskatchewan.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and for anything significant we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use SteepPage after a change means accepting the new terms.
